Nova Peris Girls' Academy, Darwin

The Governor-General visited a new initiative for young women - the Nova Peris Girls' Academy - at St John's College in Darwin. One of the Australia's most distinguished athletes, Ms Peris established the Academy to nourish and support young women in their senior years at the College.Many of the girls are from indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
